In the third quarter of 2024, the top social apps on the Android platform in Madagascar showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users, as per Sensor Tower data.

Facebook Lite saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 17K in early July and peaking mid-August with nearly 19.2K downloads, before dropping to around 11.3K by the end of September. Its weekly active user base remained relatively stable, hovering around 107K to 109K throughout the quarter.

Facebook experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, beginning with approximately $70 and reaching up to $111 by the end of September. Weekly downloads decreased from 7.3K at the start of the quarter to about 5.6K in the last week of September. Meanwhile, the app maintained a strong presence in terms of active users, with numbers consistently around 266K to 279K.

TikTok Lite - Save Data exhibited a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.3K and ending the quarter with approximately 4.5K. However, the active user base showed resilience, with numbers fluctuating between 75K and 82K, peaking in mid-September.

Instagram Lite saw a steady increase in weekly active users, starting from about 57K in early July and reaching nearly 69K by the end of September. Download numbers varied, with a low of 3.9K mid-quarter and peaking at around 5.5K towards the end.

Finally, TikTok showed a steady increase in weekly revenue from $1.4K in early July to about $1.6K by the end of September. The app's downloads decreased from 4.2K to approximately 3.2K over the quarter. Active users, however, remained strong, ranging between 110K and 115K.
